Answered by Dan Powell. Ford experienced cooling issues with older versions of the EcoBoost engine (built before 2018). This problem was fixed after a Ford recall, which replaced the degas pipe. If you are thinking of buying one of the affected models, the owner should have paperwork to show this recall has been carried out.
